Studied with Ernest Lindner, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Graduated Regina College School of Art, University of Saskatchewan, 1958; there studied with Roy Kiyooka, Ronald Bloore, Art McKay, Ken Lockhead. Attended The Vancouver School of Art, 1959. Employed as sessional instructor Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, British Columbia 1967; The Banff Center School of Fine Arts, 1972, 73, Banff, Alberta. Artist in residence, University of Western Ontario, 1972-75.
